Stocking Stuffer and Beauty Gift Ideas!

It's getting to be that time of year again!! The holidays are upon us and Christmas will be here before you know it!!  Soon the question on everyone's mind will be, What do I get so-and-so? I go through this every year and it helps to get ideas from other places so I thought I'd put together a fun little list of beauty items and stocking stuffers for the makeup lover on your list! My family is not big on expensive gifts so most of these items are fun and won't break the bank.

Ecotools Mini Essentials Makeup Brush Set, 1218, 3 pc

Ecotools Mini Essential set $4.99 here

I bought this set at Walmart a while back and fell in love. Ecotools brushes are incredibly soft and versatile. I keep these out on the counter at home and they're great to toss into my bag when I'm on the run. For only $4.99 it makes a great stocking stuffer!

Nyx Cosmetics

NYX Butter Gloss Pure Decadence Set $9.99 here
The great thing about this little set is the shades. There's red for a classic look, nude for a natural look and a beautiful dark burgundy for a vampy look. Everyone should like a least one of these colors. Plus the Butter Gloss formula smells amazing and is smooth and creamy on the lips. Usually these are $4.99 each so you save when you purchase the set.

If you want something a little less bold, try the NYX Butter Gloss Sugar Rush Set here

This set still has a soft neutral color and a red, but instead of the dark lip color, you get something  a little different in a lovely lavender gloss. If you're scared of the lavender color, I will tell you I think it looks great on girls with darker red lips. The purple tones neutralize some of the red and it becomes a really pretty pink.

Rachel Ray for EOS "A Ray of Holiday Sunshine" Lip Balm Trio for $7.99 here

The flavors in this adorable trio are Aloha Hawaii Strawberry Kiwi, St Barth's Sunrise Pink Grapefruit and Indian Summer Orange Blossom.  I've seen this cute little set all over Target, Walgreens, Ulta and more and for only $8 it makes a fun stocking stuffer or trinket gift for anyone, well, any girl on your list.

Lorac Pocket PRO palette here at Ulta for $15

Any girl who's into makeup has probably heard of the Lorac Pro Palette. If she doesn't already have one, this would be a great entry into the line. If she does have the full-size version of the Lorac Pro palette, she will still love these colors because they are so versatile and are some of the most popular colors in the palette. This little guy is adorable, perfect for travel or to keep in your purse and it makes a great addition to any collection.

Stila

Stila Not so Nude Palette $20 here

These adorable palettes have 6 eye shadows, a blush or bronzer and a highlighter. They are great all-in-one palettes for travel, doing makeup on the run and more. There are a few different variations of these so you might do best to check in store at Ulta to find the one you want. They are usually in the travel section by the checkout at Ulta.

Tarte Sweet Dreams Bestsellers Collection here at Ulta for $19

Three fabulous samples of some of Tarte's best products. What more could you ask for? And it's only $19. Not too bad. More details here.

If none of the above is quite your style,  consider a gift subscription to a monthly or one-time beauty box. BeautyBox5 and Birchbox each have a 3 month gift subscription for only $30 but you can get up to a year's worth of boxes with a prepaid subscription.  BoxyCharm, and Ipsy  have boxes you purchase with a recurring monthly fee and can cancel at any time. Don't forget to check out the Limited Edition boxes at some of the companies mentioned above as well.

If you have time, you can also check out Memebox. They have boxes full of popular makeup and skincare from  Korean brands that you can't get in the states. They have a variety of price ranges for boxes and individual items and some even ship from the US. Check out the Value Sets in the U.S.A shop for fun products with faster delivery.

If you've looked through this list and still don't see anything, try seeing if the girl/woman you're shopping for has a Pinterest page. We often will pin things to a style and fashion or beauty page and that can give you a great place to start. If you're really lucky, she may even have a wishlist page like this one ;) that will tell you exactly the types of things she wants. Look at pictures and see if you notice a trend in makeup or clothing. Does she often wear bold dark lip colors? Neutral eye shadows or does she have a favorite color?

For fun accessories, check out H&M or Forever 21. They have adorable makeup bags and accessories to go with any other little things you might pick up. Ikea has adorable room and home accessories and you can find almost anything on Etsy. Plus, don't forget about the great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals at stores like Ulta and Sephora. A great resource for what is going to be on sale and where is here

Do you have any favorite tips for holiday shopping? What are some things you'd like to see in your stocking?

    1. It's awful when you're so close too!! I have drooled over that little palette for awhile. It's too bad they don't at least ship to Canada. :( Lorac is doing some fun Black Friday Sales today at Ulta too, not to rub it in or anything, lol. But you guys have lots of things we can't get either!
